    Hi Everyone

Names MSB, just joined the site, looking forward to reading everyones' posts. Based at Narangba in Brisbane, recently retired , upgraded to a new tinny and have been fishing the Pumicestone Passage and its creeks since my old man first took me fishing as a little fella so know the place pretty well, so if anyone needs some information on where to fish, find bait etc just ask.

I'm out on the gemfields west of Emerald, Ron. I've got a couple of impoundments close by with some good sized barra and cod in Lake Maraboon and barra at Theresa Creek Dam. I try to get down to Baffle Creek a few times a year to get amongst the jacks, saltwater barra and muddies. Always thought I would like to give the Pumicestone a crack, but it's a bit too close to Brisvegas for my liking - I prefer to fish quieter waters.

    Hi Jeff
I was up at Baffle Creek in September last year with my wife, didn't take the boat just fished off the bank, stayed at Broadwater Haven, nice quite place.

Pumicestone Passage is a great place to fish, over 25 k's of mangrove waterways, I could take to areas that would make you think you were at Cape York wilderness, plenty of prawns around at the moment, come April the Jew will be in chasing the prawns up the creeks so get down here and have a go.

As soon as I download the photos from my phone to my computer, I will post some pics of a recent camping trip me and the Grandson went on to Mission Point in the passage, only accessible by boat and camping sites are right smack on the water with views to the Glasshouse Mountains.

It sounds enticing, Ron, but generally the closest I ever get to your neck of the woods is Bundy and even there it is far too populated for my liking. I'm locked into a trip to the Limmen River in late April and if I was given the choice between doing battle with traffic in South East Qld and crocs in the NT, I would choose the mud lizards every time. Thanks for the thought though.
