Well had visitors all weekend so didn't get to try my cant lose formula...
Went out to catch carp over the weekend.... but caught two good size rainbow trout and a good yellowbelly, not complaining
Where are all the carp photos, I thought there would have been a winner by now
Kev, I went away two weekends ago specifically targeting carp in a Mates dam on his vineyard however from the 8 carp we got none of them were under the 30cm mark.
The dam looks great, wouldn't mind one like that in my back yard. Keep trying H&C
Thanks Kev, I also got two good size fresh water eels which we didn't know were in there.
Just a reminder TBX's the Carpafun has still not been won. I know we had a few issues uploading pictures but that problem was fixed a while ago. I'm looking forward to seeing a load of carp pictures posted.
No probs...I have allocated some time in early September to finish the comp off! Can you confirm Kev that by the process of elimination, the mystery length is between 9 and 30 cm's?
I haven't been out much during the last few weeks. The only trips I've had have been down the beach chasing Gummy's.
I haven't bothered chasing mud marlin for a while but I'll put up a couple of photos from trips earlier in the year.
At least you have had a variety, CJ, the last carp is a pretty one. Cheers, creekboy.
I'll agree with that. So that's another clue. Have you ever tried using buttons as bait, I hear a lot of things get caught on them. And it's great fun collecting them to.
No...I couldn't use buttons! As you said...they are more of a collectable! Once I got my hands on them I don't think I could let go!
May be a while before I go on a dedicated carp hunt. Plans over the next week involve either going to Bonnie Doon or Beechworth and then chasing cod here. There is always a chance of carp as by catch tho.
Always pressing people's buttons!
OK between 9 & 30cm is what we are looking for then
That's narrowed it down
Too easy,my mate should have that size range in his recycling damYour done for on this one once the weather warms up bender
victory is nigh
Yep between 9 and 30 cm BUT IT'S GOT TO HAVE BUTTONS.
Rumor has it the comp ends tomorrow! Well Friday when I can download the pics! Heading out nine mile way armed with...wait for it...scrubbies! Suffer in ya jocks losers!
Heard all this before Jim, no photo no win.
One of two carp from the other day. The other one was 70! From memory, I already entered one around this size with no luck so not expecting much. Will have to wait til next time for glory!
Has a bit more time to prepare his victory speech!
Keep trying Jim, it's a bit big, that's another clue.
