On behalf of Madfisher:
CC should be banned!
Madfisher, I will only post photos of your Carp up to 79cm. After that, you're own your own (making me and Blunders look bad).
Blunder, I've got more excuses than you at the moment. Every time I'm free it's about 14 degrees, and when it's a nice refreshing day over 30 degrees (perfect Carp weather) I seem to be busy!
May as well give up!
Come on guys dont give up, make it a contest.
M.F has upped the ante again!
And I thought this war had fizzed to a dismal truce.
Disappointed- now more happy
Noel I just read that there are carp in some lagoon at bega. Sad to see but with striking distance of you.
Thanks Pete. I'll check it out if possible.
It's still just over 100 km
The story so far....
Bender shoots his mouth off, backed by total confidence in his carp catching ability!
Cornfields jumps out of the start line then crumbles.
Bender practices by getting a 40 ish cm carp.
Bender, still confident, finds Mildfisher's attempts amusing.
Mildfisher retaliates with what he believes is a show stopper at 87 cm's!
Bender, mutters the word 'meh', cos Bender knows the show will go on and it ain't over 'til the fat carp sings! As opposed to Midlifecrisisfisher who thinks it is game over!
87 cm's is the target to beat! A metery coming up for me I think!
We shall fight them on the creek banks!
LOL, thanks Bender.
ha ha the battle rages on! yeah!!
I have faith that you will get your metery Rod Bender even if it is a tree branch
Kicking back amusing myself watching the pathetic efforts here to try and defeat me! Originally I was going to have a 'code word' that had to be entered to prevent old pics being used. But I didn't bother cos I know we are a trustworthy lot here and secondly, nobody will have an old pic anyway that will defeat the monster I will get.
But I have been toying with some potential code words for myself when I enter my beast! So far I am tending towards this one!
All talk, no action!
F@#k you Rod Blunder!!!
I've been a wee bit busy lately, but now find myself with the weekend off. Sunday might just be warm enough to go fishing, code word and all!
There is a possibility I may need a code word, I found a dead carp in local dam not sure if it is a native cruician or normal scungy European carp I think crucian. if an import that means possibly a 1 meter monster could be waiting for me to catch it and therefore be carp king.
You know something?
I'm like Diesel; just about carped out. To me they remain as smelly, vile, feral pests. I hate them.
But in saying that; this post is filled with determination, passion, even generous doses of wit and wisdom. There's also a good mix of outright aggression. That aside, it's one of the longest running posts we've had, with a good following of TBX people.
I don't have to read it all every day. That's my prerogative but I do call in and though I don't like carp, I like most of what I read.
Conservative but honest and says what he thinks
A casual observer of TBX might think "geez whats going on here? these blokes are having a catfight , keep it going guys ha ha. I may even stoop to fishing for scabby victorian carp over the break.
Plenty of time yet! And today I stumbled on a new, readily available bait by chance on youtube! A trout fishing video of all things! That brilliant a bait, I will be keeping this one to myself!
The end is near!
Ok RB looking forward to pics of the victims of this "super bait" watch out CC, RB may have found an edge!
Worms have been around for years Jim
