    Not yet, old mate, but it's still on the agenda. I've been flicking some sp's in Lake Macquarie during the past week, landed a few bream and a couple of lizards, nothing to brag about in size though.

    I hope things pan out okay for you Noel, you've had a pretty rough trot with your ticker in recent times and my thoughts are with you. We've never met, but long ago I summed you up as a tough old buzzard and I still think the same.

    I like your attitude Noel and Kev getting out and about and having a go I hope I am the same when I am retired. Hope your procedure goes well and don't have to stay too long in the hospital Noel hopefully u will be in a room whith other fishermen making plans for when u get out!

    Hey all,
    Got back from the UK Sunday and fighting the jet Lag ha. I head to a local channel for Jed vs channel challenge and well Got a fish (Bonus)

    It appears as tho it is Bender vs everyone! :cool: A yella on a lure...something that has eluded me all my life! Despite using lures in channels, some no doubt near where you go, and catching lots of redfin over time! I just can not win!

    So Jed vs the world of fishing continued today. Thought I would try and show off my Yella out of the local channels expertise once again.
    Was really fishing for red fin as the channel I went to has never produced a yella for me.
    Well I was surprised to see this yellow fish (mud Marlin) take my lure. It was yellow so does that count??????

    Spent a few hours last night sitting on a channel trying to catch a cod which is one of my goals that I set (to go fishing and catch a cod before February). No luck last night.

    Dangerous Dave from Nagas was there also and got 3 cod of which the best one was just short of 60 cms. Cheese was his choice of bait whilst about 5 metres upstream, my shrimp were not that popular.

    Some people will only fly fish, whilst others will only use lures. I am not that pedantic but I generally only use bait that I can get locally from where I am fishing. Then again I use corn at times of which I sometimes grow myself or have to buy. Anyways, I stick with my foolish ways even if it means catching nothing!:cool:
