Hell yeah!!!!!! It's on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C'mon reddies and yellas for that matter, cheers davo
The way I have been going lately...I will be happy with a fkn yabbie! One thing is, I know I have some worms left so I may try the channel at 'Spot H' next week. Bait will be the best I think as I assume the initial flush will be rather...coffee like, as in shitty like...aka fkn dirty!!!!!
I assume they will keep some flow going for a while, until it fills up anyway. Irrigation season starts around August 16. Demand then will be minimal but people will require stock & domestic entitlements so channels must be at delivery level. Hopefully we are a few weeks away from some water tipping into the creek. This changes everything!!!
Never short of descriptions!
I'm lost with these spot know, spot H is the original yeah?
Yes...and for what it is worth...I have forgotten most of them too! Time to rename everything!
But wait...there is more!
About to start the painful fishing location code reclassification process again...including documentation of said location descriptors!!!!
Typical, Did you tell them I was heading to Rosebud tomorrow cheers davo
So...I received the 930 am report from my Cossie Sth correspondent this morning...the channel at the Midland Hwy is full!
Has minions everywhere!
Went down to check this morning, cheers davo
Thank you Nagambie minion! Looks like a good size!!!! I don't think the water clarity will be as good where I go! I'm guessing you may do a trip this weekend. I wouldn't go too far if I was you...me thinks that downstream, where the channel is filling will be filthy. Although the basin inlets have a fair bit of flow and if they are spilling into the basin, they may have cleared up. I look forward to your reports!

My army of minions is growing!
Just took the rod and the plastic on it, lost the plastic a few casts later, oh well had work to do at home anyway, cheers davo
Hi, Davo. Looks like another nice fat reddie. Cheers, Lyall.
So.....I did an unarmed recon out to one of my favorite spots this morning. It isn't looking too bad and me thinks it will be a fair bit cleaner (isn't too bad now but) in a week or so. I can see me launching a full scale cod/yella assault prior to the cod season closing.
Thundering towards 1,000,000 posts with Lightning speed! (insert Smilie emoticon here)
So.....that was fun!!!! After some changed plans I ended up at the channel this arvo in what was cold and windy conditions. I fished with worms for around 2 hours for one carp around the 45 cm mark and another lot of bites that did not hook up. All in all, despite the crap conditions, there was some promise shown! I have not heard a good thing from anywhere locally so the 2018/2019 irrigation (read fishing) season may not be that bad!!!
