Guys as most of you know i spend a lot of time culling carp, but sight fishing with a fly rod. Total catches for 2019/0 Where I have fished with a mate i have included their catch for the day. Wyangala dam( fished poorly this year) 3x trips 5 x to 69cm and 10lb. Burrendong dam 3x trips 29x landed to 12.5lb Bell river 2x trips 7 x landed to 11.3lb Burraga dam 10 trips Very hard fishery but some big brutes here 22 x landed to 87cm and 27lb. Macquarie river above forge 13 xtrips 123 landed to 72cm and 10lb Campbells river 6x trips 16 xto 9lb Abercrombie river 3x trips 45 to 76cm and 11.5lb. Where we have culled in previous years on the Abercrombie river there are now a lot less carp, which should help the natives esp poor old catfish. Total removed 247. Cheers Pete
That's a great haul. I bet CC would love to get on to those Rivers and pull a few in. Now is it just me or do Carp smell less now. Wally
LOL, maybe you do get use to it. I also think the ones from clean water smell less. Intesting a well chewed fly will be taken with out hesitation, but lose it and put a new one and you will get rejections till you find another stupid one to give the fly a carpy smell. Pete
