I grew up using many different fishing lures for trout, reddies, cod & yellas. One of my favourites was the trusty old Dickson spinners. They just make cheap imitations of these now and have done for probably 30 years and none of them have the action of the Dicksons. So I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled on these badboys still on the shop display cards at a garage sale today. I can't wait to get them wet.:)

I never did any good on the yellow ones. Red were always the go for me.

I remember when I was a kid Jarvis Walker had a version of them, a red and a yellow in each packet - I wish they just sold the red ones!

Caught heaps of Reddies on them.

P.S. Good find by the way. I would have creamed myself finding something like that at a Garage Sale as a kid.

Wow you just bought back some memories I used them ......
All the hooks and swivels I used as a kid were dicksons along with binding thread for making cane surf rods ......

I guess we all used them. Redfin loved the red ones. Yellow and green did nothing

We used to get some really big trout and reddies on them as kid out of the Avon river around Boisdale.
