New Motor

    Hi All,
    I am considering upgrading my motor to either a yamaha 40hp 4stroke ,honda 40hp 4 stroke or evinrude etec 40hp does anybody have any reccomendations on which one i should get?

    if you are going to do a lot of trolling go for a 4 stroke both honda and yamaha are good motors

    for a whiska more you can get an e-tec 60 which i'm told is the same size as the 40hp ,depends on your boat I suppose.??????????

    What's wrong with an opti...75 minimum. That'll make it sit up and beg......
    Seriously. Look at the Tohatsu too. Very reliable..

    Theres nuth'n wrong with a 75 optimax if ya transom will support 175kg!

    I'll back the tohatsu claim but think the 75 is the smallest DI
