My pet rainbow finally out grew the tank, so we found her a new home in a mates dam, and my wife drove all the way from Bathurst to Penrith to buy me two Bass and two Catfish. Lovely.
I have a worm farm going so plenty of food for them.
    Cheers Pete

Kev my trout was all ready well and truley legal size, close on 30cm. I all ways though she was a she, but a couple of months ago she developed a hook jaw, so she became a he, seems pretty normal these days.

Maybe you will have to get him a "partner" but the "partner" may turn out to be a third gender or something.

Been missing this post. Good one Pete.
Get a bigger tank and you can fill it with giant carp perhaps.

LOL, I might love catching and removing carp Noel, but I would not want one in a tank. 30 years ago I did have a redfin which did make a great display. It got pretty big as well. The Bass and Catties are going well, Sal feeds the Bass theses little crickets you can buy at pet stores, and the catties love blood worms and the worms from my compost bin.

Pete, a friend who is into pet shops brought some of those crickets to Eucumbene one weekend. We watched a rainbow going past the moored boat three times and I told him to put one on a hook and drop it in front of it. No hesitation; It just swam over and picked it up. It was Bob's first ever trout.

Speaking of carp Noel , my mate Bob and I landed 27 yesterday, what was amazing a lot where in fast water, even rapids. There was a 25cm rise came down the river. My arms where aching on a some caught in the fast water.
