Heres my JW Watersnake, been out 3 times works well, in anchor mode sometimes winds up the cable then it beeps I have seen minn kotas do it as well, I galled thread on height clamp from doing it up tight and JW immediately sent whole new bracket I cleaned shaft whith brake cleaner to remove slippery film so don't have to do clamp up as tight.
I hope to go fishing this afternoon because I think dictator Dan is about to lock us down again ......
Well I'm stuck at home off the water again so what to do hmmm I know go buy a fishing rod . So I am now the owner of a shimano jewel 701 1-4kg hopefully I can get out of here to give it a flogging ...... Cheers TAC
Good one and today I just bought some plastics and some more vibes because all this rain in East Gippsland is really going to stir the bream up .......
Well my back and hips are now screaming at me when I get back to the ramp at around 18:30 19:00 After a 35 odd km trip (74 K round trip) home in the dark and cold (around 11* to 12*) from the reef . sometimes I am stuffing around just off the jetty at the ramp for more than 10 mins trying to get everything working so I can get out of the tinny instead of ending up in the drink . So I now have this and even just sitting in it in the backyard I can tell from the seating position it is a game-changer will test over the weekend ......
Went out today to test it out funny thing is blowing 15 knots in Paynesville go over the back lake 8 kilometres away glassy calm very comfortable very happy. Department of name changes just a slack as ever all the pelicans have killed the tea tree on what used to be a point it is now 200 yards shorter than it used to be this is supposed to be a prized nesting area for a bird I think they call it the little turn only half the size of the normal pointy wing turn your see around the lakes imagine if I went over there cut a few trees down with the chainsaw.
should have been casting some lures about as well.....tsk tsk. would have been a more thorough seat test.
Just got my new Casio WS 1200H 3AVEF (dark green colour would still stand out like dogs balls while fishing for trout) watch, displays best times to fish you can to scroll throught the hours on that day or future days to show best times to fish. I presume it automatically shows as well as the day progresses. i have a good phone app as well but the watch is quick to view and may just show me a good time to fish that i am not aware of, has happened once while looking at an old gps i have which also shows the best fishing times while on a fishing trip at about 2.30 in the afternoon so i went to nearby trout spot and immediatly got 6 takes on a fly.
