A 4 day trip was reduced to 2 as had to get back home prior to lockdown but must admit, the fishing was not good at all. Did not here reports of catches from people bait fishing and even those in boats??? Always spin the surf and this time had a huge knock only to see the salmon sit up and spit the lure back at me. Remember a few years back pulling in 5 fish from 7 casts (and giving them to the guys feeding the crabs with their baited surf rods) but alas the last 3 trips have been very different. Any suggestions??
Yep Mallacoota . Sorry mate but I haven't heard of good report out of marlo in years . And I live 11/2 hours up the road everybody around here just goes straight to Mallacoota and bypass marlo.
Bit sad to say the least. Used to go to Mallacoota then changed to Marlo as meet up with a guy from Canberra and the travelling time for him and me (Melb) was virtually the same.
