Anyway I found these on evilbay and thought I'd give them a bash and yep they work , I was running late and only had 3/4 of an hour and managed to get 2 small and 2 size fish . I think when i have more time and the bream pick up a bit they will be deadly ...... Grub on the left and Crusteaz on the right in gudgon ...... This bream was on a grub in blood worm ...... I think it would have gone better if I had dropped the jig size down to a 1/16 in stead of 1/12 as the river has cleaned up a lot and flow has dropped I wasn't getting much hang time ......
Nice Tac, I will have to check out those Crusteaz, I already use the grubz in MotorOil I havent had any success in bloodworm or any other colour up my way. I get by with a 1/16 ot 1/32 jighead these days but I am only getting short casts, so I find on the last of the dropping tide works best amongst the mangroves. Havent tried them off the beach or out in the yak ... yet! ... Hopefully I can get my roof racks fitted and get out to the oyster leases for some big boys ASAP.
Yeah I gave up on motor oil ages ago for some reason I cannot even get a bite I use bloodwyrm Gudgeon pumpkinseed greasy prawn yeah they seem to work in this local area really well cheers and good luck in the yak
Well I have used these plastics for four sessions now they are proving to be not a bad Bream lure only thing I don't like about them is the little Bream like them to I have court plenty over 40 cm on the grubs so far the largest on these has been 37 ish.
